The camera and lighting has been changed around a bit. The sprite for the main player has also been updated.
Very excited now that some of the new sprites are in the game! Keep in mind that all of these visuals are still being tweaked. This version also has a lot of new features, such as being able to switch between Build, Repair, and Attack mode.
A couple things next to come will be new sprites for the enemies, as well as tweaks to the existing sprites. The functionality for the attack mode will be built next as well.
As promised the AI has received an update. The enemy mice now search for a secondary target to kill when their path to the primary objective is blocked. This allows the player to either force the enemies through a maze, or make a fortress and block all entry points. Next on the list is repairing as well as additional tweaks to health and damage values.
There are a lot of new updates to Fortified Swiss, such as a new building system to allow the player to build very organized and structured bases quickly. The audio has had some updates, as well as the map. Next on the list are updates to the AI, as well as adding in a few new features. The game also works in WebGL now and I am looking to put a version of the game on Kongregate in the near future. Stay tuned for more updates later this week.
As you can see the game now has walls/crates. This is most likely to change in the near future. This version also has lots of improvements and tweaks. Balancing is currently one of the main tasks underway and its thankfully getting much closer to that goal.
Still busy working on this game. A gameplay video should be posted tomorrow. Stay tuned!
Updated gameplay video is likely to come later today. These sprites are still placeholders, but they better convey the idea behind this game.
This game is off to a good start.
